The Skyline Hikers uses a number of platforms for communication to members and for present and past members to stay in touch with one another.

  • Skyliner (newsletter)
Published annually — issued in late autumn following Annual General Meeting held in October — the Skyliner is distributed to all current members of record via e-mail (PDF document) or postal mail (hardcopy).

Members are encouraged to provide editorial content for the newsletter in the form of letters to the editor, information articles, tales from the trail, poems and cartoons.

As of January 2012 the Skyliner is available to registered members via the controlled access Members Area on this website.
  • E-mail Bulletins
Issued periodically throughout the year to keep members up-to-date on time sensitive developments and important advisories.

Copies of the e-mail bulletins are deposited for future reference in the controlled access Members Area on this website.
  • Website
Electronic repository of information pertaining to activities of the Skyline Hikers, including the current annual camp and hike program, and archive of past years camps and hikes as related in reports, photos and tales from the trail. The Bulletin Board page is used to post announcements of new developments, activities, meetings, etc.

This platform provides a vehicle for present and past members to keep in touch with the organization and friends from camp(s). The Members' Diary and Photo Gallery pages are dedicated to recording memories of past camp and hike programmes as seen through the eyes of participating members.

As of January 2012 a controlled access Members Area came online for distribution of publications previously sent via postal mail. The area is also a repository of information bulletins, newsletters and documents circulated to members in electronic and hard copy form. Only registered members of the Skyline Hikers of the Canadian Rockies have access to the Members Area.
